Our Founders
Daniel Morris, LCSW, CSAT-S, and Robert Meadows, LCSW, CSAT-S, EMDR-Trained, started an experiential peer counseling group in 1993. They intended to give men struggling with sex addiction a place to talk about their emotions. Referrals came from other therapists and the occasional educational talks Dan and Bob would do. For the first four years, two to three groups met for 2.5 hours a week in a small, $10 an hour room in a psychotherapy office furnished with just mattresses and pillows on the floor.
The result of Dan’s and Bob’s vision is the Kavod Psychotherapy of today. As our founders move towards retirement, the therapists and staff at Kavod honor their commitment and passion for this work by carrying on their legacy.
